Monday 04. August 2008 Report from the 4th of august 2008
By: Christian RummelThe summer project 2008 has come to its final week. The French Compagnons already went home, beside stone mason Vincent. But still other German and French journeymen come and we expect more in the next days. In last breath of the tasks to do, we join wooden craft, forge with the fire, we sew and modulate stones. Some results are already visible, as the restorated wooden windows from the Casa Calfelor, in addition with new forged grids, Don Titi`s tables are made, the carpenters have praised the small garden house they made, with their traditional ceremony and tomorrow we reinstall our doors and they will look as brilliant as they can again. The chimere from Vincent driven into stone will hopefully have its place on top of our wood in iron soon.
Also the tailors work busy as bees, after the refreshment of the sewing machine, making skirts and bags.
On sunday we went 170 kilometers to reach Bran, the place where Vlad Tepes had ruled 600 years ago, to develope the real background of well known Graf Dracula. But as this seem to be an interest of numerous folks we had to realise, that this castles spirit couldn`t show its face to us, in presence of many visitors.
At thursday we will meet the directors from the movie: „For the unknown dog“, which was running in cinemas last year. They will come to stay with us watching the movie and gather afterwards. We`re looking forward to it...
