To meet Santa Clausi
With his young travel companion Basti, Eddy was there. In Basti's ear still was missing the traditional journeymen ear ring. So we took the chance in a comfortable mood in Don Titi's Crama to bang the nail through his tip of the left ear. On the 23rd of December. He agreed with being our Santa Clausi, if we take out the nail. His ear ring is wonderful.
The christmas dinner
15 journeymen want to have a goose for the christmas dinner, of course! Questions appeared. Who is going to prepare and cook the dinner? That decision was done quick: Magic Mike, Patrick and chef: Leila. OK. To get the grocceries was done quick too. Where can we roast our goose? Of course in a stove! Fortunately a family spent their christmas holidays in the manse from the evangelic church. They solved our problem of a missing stove. And in all these troubles the most important thing was forgotten. The goose! Where can you get a goose on the 24th of December? All of us had many ideas, from buying one in a village to buying a deep frozen one in the store. Naggl & Fratzlaff took this challenge in their hands. Said - done. They came back with a big bird (a huge brute) and we were all happy. What a gigant goose! When unpacking the bird we found out that this wasn't a goose. It was a turkey! - OK, a christmas turkey. That's alright! Overall eight hours in the kittchen. Five hours the turkey has been into the oven, every 15 minutes coated with grease.
Christmas eve
It was a nice gift giving, because we had our own Santa Clausi. Clausi entered the CASA CALFELOR holding a birch in one hand and a big bag in the other one. He also had a very nice fine-rib-beard. But it wasn't easy for us to get the gift's. Everyone had to tell a poem, sing a song or do something else to amuse Clausi, otherwise no gift was coming round the corner. Later the CASA CALFELOR transformed into a dance hall, where many journeymen had fun together.
The ski excursion
In the late evening of the 24th the idea came up to make a ski trip next day. Get up at 5:30 am after a long night! But if you want to go skiing for real, you have to have time. We went to Braşov. We had to wait one hour at the ski lift and it took us five minutes to go down the slope. But we enjoyed every breath in every minute that day.
