Last year success and the large response from german & swiss journeymen, as well as the french compagnons, force us to continue in 2009. To keep the project alive, in savage Romania. From every trade there is journeymen are welcome to help rebuilt the farest hospice of journeymen in east Europe, in the heart of Transylvania. We want to continue our restaurations in CASA CALFELOR. It is also planed to realize work orders from habitants in Sibiu. Again the shade from the medevil townwall is chosen to give proof of our traditional craft techniques, to learn from eachother and to spread knowledge to young romanian apprentice.The experience working together and the cultural exchange between different nations are unique in Sibiu since day one. The period specified for this year project begins at the 6th of July and ends at the 10th of August. But of course CASA CALFELOR`S door is open for journeymen twenty four seven. In this spirit: tie your shoes and come to Sibiu!

We like to welcome everyone who is interested in the journeymen tradition to visit us at CASA CALFELOR. Especially men & women who want to start their travel too. Throughout the project time you can get information to all kinds of different brotherhoods.In addition another idea matured since last year. In this summer Compagnons & Companions will meet in France in the end of June, to start a travel trip together to Sibiu. Journeymen who are interested in send a mail to:
