Do you remember our old staircase in the foyer?

I have to tell you, (and a tear is rolling into one buttonhole) we took her apart. We decided to replace her glory in a new straight mortised stair. And also the walls needed a face lift. We took apart the old plaster to release the stones. After we had carried out many buckets full filled with waste, we could start to work. Stringers, raisers and steps are made out of oak lumber. Furthermore a descent substructure was made to hold the platform in stable shape again. Also there oak board decorates the surface now.
