Greetings from Canada to the CASA CALFELOR

We had money, a car and lot of fun at our greatest times in British Columbia. In the pub they called us: “the pitcher guys“. The reason therefore was not that we ordered pitchers, because this is pretty common in Canada. Instead of drinking out of glasses we were drinking out of the pitcher. That solved the problem of the missing glass boot!
What else do five journeymen need? One had to hit a women, two others had burgers for breakfast, lunch and supper, another one was supposed to have five nicotine band aids on one arm trying quit smoking and the last one brought his money day by day to the pub. It did work out with finding jobs, small ones, little bites, time to be and always a new surrounding with a different taste and atmosphere. Nature in Canada is what we call: stunning or mind-blowing. Canadians say: awesome.

As all our ways started to split, two of us arrived at the beginning of their trip, with a car almost fallen apart. The others hitchhike further on. After a long, long ferry ride from the very end of Vancouver Island they got back to the mainland. They rode the highway of tears with more dust in their lungs than a miller journeyman has after passing his apprenticeship and they enjoyed a very young anchor of Canadian history. With that anchor a part of the conqueror history is meant, because the culture of the native Canadians is brightener as a roofing nail and older as a board of plywood. What was left after the gold rush? The logging and the road construction. On such kind of road still two journeymen travel. Always with the wind in their noses, where a pacific breeze starts to attract again, after a period of taste from burnt down forest.

And far in the west and a little bit shorter direction east Romania is waiting for the journeymen to come. Remembering the great food and the lovely women…
With such kind of memories it’s easier to leave Canada!
